QRNFC Global operates on a "Pay once. Auto-renews free." model. When you purchase a storage & viewing credit and activate a QR code & NFC URL with content, Year 1 storage & viewing and Year 2 renewal are included in the one-off purchase price. From Year 3 onward, your content auto-renews free every year at no additional charge, as long as the Service operates and the code receives at least one scan per year. We will never charge you recurring fees for content you have already paid to activate.

Wind-Down Provision: Should QRNFC Global cease operations at any point, all users will be given a minimum of 90 days to download their content and data free of charge.

Our Fair Use Policy ensures the Service remains sustainable and affordable for all users. Each storage & viewing credit entitles you to reasonable use of our platform within the limits outlined below. This policy covers upload sizes, scan frequency, and content standards.

Each QR code & NFC URL activation includes the following upload allowances:

• Video: Maximum 5 minutes duration per upload, with a generous file-size cap shown in the uploader. Videos are automatically transcoded for fast playback while preserving an offline original.
• Photos: A generous per-image size cap shown in the uploader. Images are automatically optimised for web delivery.
• Total storage per QR code: Up to 50MB of compressed content (after our server-side optimisation).

These limits ensure consistent, fast playback for all users globally. If you have commercial needs that exceed these limits, please contact us about enterprise plans.

Two separate scan thresholds apply:

• Per-tag allowance: Each QR code includes 1,000 scans per calendar month. Sufficient for almost all personal use (gifts, memorials, business cards).
• Account-level monthly allowance (subscribers only): Your subscription tier carries a generous combined monthly scan budget across all your tags.

All overage rates are exclusive of applicable taxes. Rates apply to new overage incurred from the policy date forward; usage prior to that date is not retroactively re-billed.

Your content keeps working. We never break a live QR code. The behaviour depends on which threshold is exceeded:

• A single tag exceeds 1,000 scans/month: a small "Create your own QR codes at QRNFC Global" branding banner appears on that tag's scan page. Banner is removed automatically at the start of the next calendar month.
• Personal-tier account exceeds 5,000 scans/month: soft cap — no charges. We may reach out if usage looks unintentional or commercial.
• Subscribed account exceeds its monthly allowance: excess scans are billed at the rate above, in 1,000-scan blocks, rounded up. Billing is processed automatically at the end of each calendar month against the payment method on file. You will receive an in-app warning when usage reaches 80% of allowance and again at 100%.

Overage charges are calculated, invoiced and collected as follows:

• Calculation: on the 1st of each month at 02:00 UTC, we compute max(your_scans_last_month − included_allowance, 0), round up to the next 1,000-scan block, and multiply by your tier's rate.
• Invoicing: the resulting amount is charged immediately as a one-off transaction against the payment method already on file with your subscription. No re-entry of card details is required.
• Receipts: Paddle sends an itemised receipt directly to your billing email, separate from your subscription renewal invoice.
• Disputes: if you believe the scan count is incorrect, email billing@qrnfcglobal.com within 30 days. We will share the scan-events audit log used to compute the charge.
• Failed payment: if the charge fails, we will email you, mark the invoice as past-due in your account, and re-attempt in 3 days. We never suspend or block QR codes for failed overage payments — your service stays live while the issue is resolved.
• Caps: there is no monthly overage cap by default. If you anticipate a large campaign and want a pre-agreed cap (e.g. "notify me before any month exceeds $500"), contact billing@qrnfcglobal.com.

To protect all users, the following uses are prohibited under this Fair Use Policy:

• Using the platform as general-purpose file storage or backup (content not intended for QR/NFC sharing)
• Automated or bot-generated scans intended to inflate analytics or trigger fraudulent overage refunds
• Uploading content that violates our Acceptable Use policy (see Terms of Service)
• Attempting to circumvent upload limits through multiple accounts or repeated uploads
• Using the service in a way that degrades performance for other users

We reserve the right to suspend or limit accounts that engage in abusive behaviour, with prior notice where reasonably possible.

If you regularly exceed the Growth tier (500,000 scans/month) — typical for national retailers, supermarket campaigns or large-scale packaging programmes — we offer Enterprise pricing with volume-discounted overage rates and dedicated support. Contact sales@qrnfcglobal.com.

QRNFC Global reserves the right to adjust fair-use thresholds and overage rates for future periods only, with a minimum of 30 days' written notice by email. We will never retroactively re-bill scans that already occurred under previous rates, and we will never reduce the allowances attached to lifetime storage credits already purchased.

You can monitor your scan usage at any time:

• Per-tag: each QR code detail page shows a progress bar of monthly scans.
• Account-level: your dashboard shows total monthly scans vs your tier allowance, projected overage cost, and warnings at 80% / 100% / 120%.
• Historical: Settings → Billing shows every monthly overage invoice and its payment status.

We may adjust this Fair Use Policy from time to time. Material changes (any reduction in allowances, any increase in overage rates) will be communicated by email with at least 30 days' notice and will apply only from the notice period onward.
